Pershing Gym Dedicated to Richard Dockett Friday
The School District of University City held the dedication during the 'Jazz Under the Stars' event.
The School District of University City dedicated the Pershing Elementary School gymnasium to Richard Dockett, an active community member who resides in the 3rd Ward of University City.
Dockett was honored for his dedication to the students of the district and particularly Pershing Elementary School.

Following the dedication, a formal plaque replaced the framed photo of Walter Daniels, a former Board member. The Pershing school library was renamed “The Walter Daniels Library” in August 2012.
