Rain Cancels Delmar Loop's Get Your Chalk On
The rain date is Sunday. If the rain stops in time today, the postponed event can be held.
Friday's heavy rains, a remnant of Hurricane Isaac, have forced the cancellation of today's event. The rain date is Sunday, Sept. 2. If the rain stops today and the pavement drys out, the event should be able to go.

Artists and the aspiring can sign up for the second annual event at visittheloop.com or at . Awards will be given for most creative, chalk of fame, Loop theme and viewer's choice.
All participants will receive supplies and a place to create. Children under 12 can join in the fun in Chalk Land.

The entry fees are $10 adults (18 and over); $8 for students (13-18); and $4 for children (12 and under).
