A U. City citizen for 4 years, I've recently begun regularly attending at the Shinzo Zen Meditation Center in U. City. I'm also a member of the Ethical Society of St. Louis in Richmond Heights where I perform pre-Sunday-morning-services on my guitar. I grew up in a Fundamentalist Christian church (Church of Christ), and like many in adolescence, I broke away from the church, only to return as an act of near- desparation. After a long process of soul-searching, including 2 college courses on philosophy of religion, one from Wash. U., the other UMSL, I slowly weaned myself away from church, a long arduous journey. I now consider myself an agnostic but still pray to an Unknown God for redemption of all sentient beings.
