The bakery that specializes in 3-D cakes and alcohol-infused cupcakes will be moving to a new location in North County.
Cakes by Nette, the popular Olivette bakery that specializes in 3-D cakes like you've find on TV's Ace of Cakes, will be closing shop in its Olive Boulevard location on Dec. 22. Owner Shannette Redd announced the move on her Facebook page, prompting Suzanne Epstein-Lang, a fan of Olivette Patch, to comment: "So sad for our community." Redd was not ready to announce where the new location will be, other than to say it will be somewhere in North County. Redd said she started the business out of her home in North County before moving into the location at 9639 Olive Blvd. four years ago.
