Apparently, Steak 'n Shake is famous for much more than its steakburgers. The chain, which has locations Maplewood and Webster Groves, is the winner of this week's Mid-County Food Fight on chili. For this week's Patch Food Fight, we asked readers where they find the best bowl of chili in the Mid-County area. Steak 'n Shake was the winner with 48 percent of the vote. You don't have to make tracks for the Wild West to grab a plate of tasty french fries. The votes are in, and with 48 percent of the vote, Patch users have selected Trainwreck Saloon as the best place for french fries in Mid-County. The Rock Hill restaurant and bar derailed the competition. So saddle up, partners, and mosey on down to the Trainwreck Saloon.
