Second Man Charged in U City Burglary on Orchard Avenue

University City Police said at least two men stole two televisions and cash from the home.

A second man was charged with an October burglary in the 8300 block of Orchard Avenue in University City. John Gathright, 19, of the 1500 block of Eastmont Place in University City, was charged with second-degree burglary and felony stealing. University City Police said Gathright and Kenneth Reed entered the home between 7 and 9:50 p.m. Oct. 20 and stole two flat-screen televisions and $379 cash. Reed was charged Jan. 18 with the break-in. Court documents indicated there may be one other person involved in the burglary. Bail was set at $35,000 for Gathright. Holiday shoppers get ready! The holiday shopping season is getting underway.
