Burglary Alert: Police Warn U City, Clayton Residents
Police are investigating break-ins in both cities.
Police are alerting University City and Clayton residents to keep the doors to their homes locked and alarms activated. Clayton Police officers caught Rodney Dunlap loading his vehicle with $4,600 worth of property from a home in the 8100 block of Westmoreland Avenue in Clayton. Dunlap is charged with stealing and second degree burglary. University City Police officers told KMOV Dunlap is also being investigated for a similar crime in U City. U City resident Francine Attoun told KMOV she didn't feel safe anymore. “We really don’t leave our house at night much even though we have an alarm system,” Attoun said. We have started a Neighborhood Watch in our UCity neighborhood to combat this type of crime. It would be helpful for police officers to add their comments to articles like this. Such as, what made Mr. Dunlap (and it makes me cringe to refer to a low-life in this way) decide to target this house?   more ›
