What Do You Think About Donald Trump's Proposition?

Donald Trump has made an offer to President Obama that could mean $5 million to the charity of the President's choice.

With questions still arising about President Obama's country of birth and his college history, Donald Trump has made the President an offer, and the offer expires on Oct. 31, just days before the election. In his video, Trump asks the President to be more transparent and release his college transcripts and passport information. If he does, Trump said he'll write a $5 million check to the charity of Obama's choice. In August, an editorial in The Week posed four theories about why the outcry for President Obama's college transcripts had replaced "birtherism." One of the theories was that it was simply a way to distract from Mitt Romney's tax returns. Jack Cashill's opinion piece on WND.com on Aug. 15 asked "Why did Obama seal his transcripts…

AG Candidate Ed Martin Puts 'Obamacare' Opposition On Wheels

The Attorney is using an old ambulance to collect petition signatures.

Chalk this up as one of the more unusual transportation vehicles utilized during the 2012 election season: St. Louis City attorney Ed Martin’s campaign for attorney general is using a retrofitted ambulance aimed at showcasing the Republican’s opposition to President Barack Obama’s health care plan. Martin’s campaign announced last week that the “Ed Martin for Attorney General Campaign ‘Stop Obamacare’ Ambulance” would be traveling around the state to collect signatures against the health care law passed in 2010.  “We are inviting citizens from across the state to come out to the ‘Stop Obamacare’ Ambulance Tour and sign the petition to stop the implementation of Obamacare here in Missouri,” Martin said in a statement. “The petition is meant…

State of the Union: The White House Wants Us to Tune In Online

The State of the Union is going interactive, with an online-only "enhanced broadcast" of President Obama's remarks.

Do you watch the State of the Union? Millions of Americans do, although ratings for President Obama's 2011 address were down over the previous year. I confess that I mostly do not watch the SOTU, and it makes no difference whether the commander-in-chief is one for whom I voted. The SOTU is usually longer than it needs to be, and the constant ovations--with concurrent non-ovations by those who don't support the president--drive me to distraction. Still, I know it's important to hear what the President has to say about how he and the country are doing, so I don't avoid the SOTU altogether. How I usually "watch" Please don't judge me too harshly, but my approach is as follows: How I might try watching  Even as I write this, I am not …
