Saturday, December 1 Two people admitted to stealing from a food bar without paying between 1 and 1:20 p.m. at Bear's Den. Sunday, December 2 At 12:39 p.m., an iPhone valued at $400 was reported stolen from Whispers Cafe. It was reportedly taken on Nov. 30. At 2:20 a.m., Rubelman Dorm was evacuated after two fire alarms were falsely pulled. The Washington University Police Department reported the following incidents on its website. Thursday, Nov. 29 At 4:15 p.m., a wedding ring was reported stolen. The ring was stolen on Oct. 29 at Kayak's Coffee (276 N. Skinker). A report was filed with police at the request of the insurance company, police report. At 1:41 p.m., an attempted theft at Wayman Crow Hall was reported. Property damage amounting to $250 resulted from the attempted theft of a computer monitor from a classroom. Calls to the University City Police Department.
Each week, University City Patch features a look at reports from the University City Police Department. Here is a look at the blotter from Jan. 30 to Feb. 5. The department arrested 70 adults and two juveniles. There was one burglary, one robbery, three auto thefts and one call of shots fired. Officers responded to a call for shots fired. The victim stated he observed several subjects near his vehicle but ignored the subjects and went inside. A short time later the victim heard gunfire.
