School District Puts $19.4 Million Bond on April Ballot

The School District of University City board of education approved putting the bond on the April 2013 ballot Thursday.

The Board of Education for the School District of University City approved a measure to place a $19.4 million, no-tax increase bond issue on the April 2013 ballot. The board approved the measure 7-0. The election is slated for April 2. The district also has two seats on the board of education on the April ballot. The ballot language for Proposition U-2 will read as follows: For the purpose of implementing the recommendations of the Facilities Steering Committee, including, but not limited to, financing the cost of renovating, furnishing and equipping existing District schools and facilities, shall the Board of Education of the School District of University City be authorized to borrow money in the amount of Nineteen Million Four Hundred …
