Man Neglected Starving Horses on Kinloch Property, Say Humane Society Officials

A University City man faces two more animal abuse charges, as the Humane Society of Missouri said he has neglected the care of two horses on his property in Kinloch. A Humane Society official reported that the horses, kept in the 8200 block of Martin Luther King Drive in Kinloch, were starving and had little water. Eric Hearton, 45, of the 1000 block of Raisher Drive in University City, was charged Monday by the St. Louis County Prosectuor's Office with two counts of animal abuse. The two horses were seriously malnourished, and one had a bridle on that would not allow him to eat, according to the report. The horses also did not have enough water and the water they had was dirty and frozen and one horse needed hoof care, the official said. …
