Police: U City Man Caught Stealing Liquor From Walmart Had Drug Items
The University City man pleaded not guilty at a Jan. 16 hearing to stealing from a St. Peters Wal-Mart.
A University City man faces criminal charges after being caught stealing liquor from the St. Peters Walmart. Allen C. Douthit, 32, of the 7000 block of Julian Avenue in U City, was charged Jan. 10 with misdemeanor stealing and possession of drug-related items. St. Peters Police said Douthit stole two bottles of liquor from Walmart, 1661 Jungermann Road in St. Peters. The liquor was valued at $53.11. Police said Douthit also had syringes, a spoon, a razor blade and half a soda can, all used to inject heroin. Douthit pleaded not guilty at a Jan. 16 hearing. Bail was set at $1,000, cash only.
