According to Politico, in a closed-door fundraiser at the Republican National Convention, Karl Rove reportedly joked about the murder of Missouri GOP Senate candidate Todd Akin. “We should sink Todd Akin. If he’s found mysteriously murdered, don’t look for my whereabouts!” joked Rove, according to a Businessweek report of the fundraiser included in the Politico article. Patch has been watching the Todd Akin online fundraising meter for the past two days. He wanted to raise $100,000, asking individuals to send in $3 at a time. Last night, the Akin fundraising meter said he still needed a few thousand dollars to reach that goal.
