U City Man Charged In Pair of July Burglaries

Police said the residents were home as burglars broke into the two houses.

A teenager was charged Friday with two first-degree burglaries in University City. Kyren Chunn, 17, of the 7800 block of Birchmont in University City, also was charged with two counts of felony stealing. University City Police said that Chunn and another person broke into a home at 2:55 a.m. July 17 in the 7100 block of Princeton Avenue and stole a laptop computer. Police said Chunn and the other person also broke into a home in the 7700 block of Cornell Avenue the same night and stole a TV, notebook computer, iPod, iPad and $30 cash.
