Report: Credit Union Robbed on Olive

KMOV is reporting a robbery at the St. Louis Credit Union.

KMOV is reporting that University City Police were investigating a bank robbery in University City around 4:45 p.m. The robber handed a teller a note demanding large bills if they did not want to get hurt, KMOV reports. St. Louis Community Credit Union is located in the 7300 block of Olive Boulevard. Patch will bring you more information as it becomes available.

UPDATE: Armed Robbery Suspects Described After Wydown Incident

The incident happened early Tuesday morning and apparently is tied to a similar crime in Dogtown, KMOV and KSDK reported.

A 42-year-old man sustained minor injuries early Tuesday morning after being robbed at gunpoint by two people near the intersection of Wydown and Skinker boulevards, the St. Louis Metropolitan Police Department reported. That location is close to Washington University. The incident began at 1:10 a.m. when two black men in their late teens or early 20s approached the 42-year-old in the 6200 block of Wydown, an incident report shared by public information director David Marzullo states. The two wore dark hooded sweatshirts and jeans. "The victim was walking to his vehicle when he was ordered to 'get on the ground' by the suspects, who were carrying handguns," the report states. KMOV: U City House Catches Fire While Owners Are Out of Town

The fire damaged the home Sunday.

KMOV is reporting a University City home was damaged in an early morning fire Sunday, while the owners were reportedly out of town. Univeristy City Fire officials say the blaze started in the 6500 block of Corbitt just before 6:30 a.m. A neighbor told KMOV that the family that owns the home was out of town at the time of the fire. The house suffered moderate damage.

Car Crashes Into U City Home, KMOV Reports

Incident happened early Friday morning.

A homeowner in University City was left with a gaping hole in their garage after a driver lost control and crashed into it, KMOV is reporting.  According to the report, the accident happened in the 8500 block of Kempland Place at the intersection of Woodson Road sometime Friday morning.  It is not known what caused the driver to lose control or if they were injured.

KMOV Reports Two Shot, Killed in U City Sunday

Shooting occurred early Sunday morning.

KMOV is reporting that two men were killed and another injured in an early morning shooting Sunday in University City. According to KMOV, Marvin Alexander, 40, was killed at the scene, while Damon Moore, 34, was later pronounced dead at the hospital. A third victim was shot in the leg and remained in critical condition Sunday night. To see the full report, click here.
