Jimmy Kimmel Hates Imo's, Loves Winslow's Home

The University City restaurant is a favorite of the comedian's.

Jenna Fischer, a St. Louis native and actress on The Office, recently sat down with Jimmy Kimmel to talk about where she likes to eat when she visits home. Kimmel said that his fiance is from St. Louis, so he’s familiar with our town. Fischer professed her love of Imo's Pizza, which she had delivered on Thanksgiving night the last time she was home. Kimmel was baffled that anyone would like our hometown pizza, which he said tasted like plastic. "It's the most disgusting pizza I've ever had in my life," Kimmel said while Fischer reeled in her chair. Kimmel then rattled off a few of his St. Louis favorites: Ted Drew's, Pappy’s Smokehouse and U City's own Winslow’s Home.

Celebrity sightings, new menus and some closings to report. Jimmy Kimmel was in the St. Louis area over Thanksgiving weekend. While in town, he stopped by University City's own Winslow's Home. The St. Louis Post-Dispatch reports that Kimmel chowed down on a fish sandwich Saturday afternoon.  New Menus Eclipse Restaurant and Blueberry Hill have released their fall menus. To see the new items see the attached menus. Closings The Post-Dispatch is reporting that Hiro Sushi and 609 Lounge have closed. Hiro will reopen in 2013 on Washington Ave.  as Hiro Asian Kitchen, according to the Post story. On his Facebook page, proprietor Bernie Lee posted it was time to move on. We will open a new chapter, at the start of 2013, in a better location …
