In June, Jilly's Cupcake Bar and Cafe was declared the winner of Cupcake Wars on the Food Network.
Jilly's Cupcake Bar and Cafe has racked up another accolade - best breakfast place in St. Louis. The University City eatery has won St. Louis Magazine's Breakfast of Champions bracket. Jilly's beat out 31 other eateries for the honor. The runner-up was Uncle Bill's Pancake and Dinner House, which has two St. Louis locations. The winner was chosen by an online poll. Jilly's Sunday brunch buffet has developed quite a following. In addition, to the usual breakfast items like Eggs Benedict and French Toast the menu also boasts Jilly's popular Brisket Hash, as well as a 6 Cheese Mac & Cheese and Chicken and Egg salad. Jilly's Cupcake Bar and Cafe has remodeled and expanded its restaurant and kitchen.
Jilly's Cupcake Bar and Cafe in University City can now satisfy even more sweet tooths. The business has expanded 1,400 square feet. Jilly's showed off its new digs to customers on Friday morning. Some of the finishing touches are still being hammered out. The new space adds more seating, a bigger kitchen and also a party room for private events. The store also has a new entrance. Instead of entering through the parking lot facing Delmar, customers will now enter through a front store space off McKnight. Jilly's Cupcake Bar and Cafe will appear in Tuesday's episode of Food Network's Cupcake Wars.
Jilly's Cupcake Bar and Cafe will be doing battle with its batter this week. The University City eatery located at 8509 Delmar will appear in Tuesday night's episode of Cupcake Wars on the Food Network. The Jilly's team is comprised of Dana Holland, executive chef at Jilly's and Casey Shiller, a Certified Executive Pastry Chef, who is Jilly's Director of Pastry and Baking. The pair will compete against three other teams for a $10,000 grand prize, and the opportunity to showcase their cupcakes. On Tuesday's episode the four teams will compete to have their tasty treats front and center at a VIP party honoring the first man in space.
