Second Man Charged in Cell Phone Robbery

The two men planned to steal an iPhone "from an Asian," the men told officers, according to a police report.

A second man has been charged in a robbery on the Delmar Loop in which two men forcibly stole a cell phone from a man. The men told officers they planned to steal an iPhone “from an Asian,” according to a University City Police report. Justin Shakespeare, 18, of the 600 block of Jefferson Street in St. Charles, was charged Nov. 21 with second-degree robbery. Darien Lewis-Wilke, 18, was charged with the crime Nov. 17. University City Police said Shakespeare and Lewis-Wilke approached the man, who was sitting at a table in the Ranoush Restaurant and Hookah Bar on Delmar Boulevard. The kids should not get out from jail. He is the one going around university city stealing people i phone. He should realize people work hard for their money and now they have to buy a new i phone becauuse of that. But what i don't understand is why going after 'asian people' why? Local Insurance Company Offering Cash for Damaged, Lost iPhone Stories

What's the worst broken or lost phone story you have?

Drop your phone in the toilet? Run over it with your car? Give it to your 3-year-old daughter and haven't seen it since?  Your story may be worth the price of a brand new phone and more! A Lake Saint Louis-based insurance company is offering cash prizes for stories on how carelessly people treat their mobile devices. According to a release from Stuckey & Company, an insurance provider that focuses on hard to get specialty insurance programs, the company is accepting 30-90-second video entries that show how integral iPhones and iPads are in peoples' lives, how carelessly people treat them and how easy it is to lose or damage them. Trade in iPads, iPods, iPhones at Target

The Target in Brentwood is participating in the trade-in offer that gives customers a store credit for their used electronics.

If you have an iPod, iPhone or iPad that you are ready to get rid of, take it to Target and the store will give you a gift card in return for the device. The Brentwood Target store is participating in the trade-in offer.  Town and Country store staff tells Patch that customers can trade in online or in-stores. However, customers must work with a member of the Target Mobile staff if making the trade-in at the store, so check your local store for its hours.  According to the St. Louis Post Dispatch, Target is offering the deal at more than 1,450 retail locations through a partnership with NextWorth. The offer runs through Feb. 11.
