The World Community Center near University City is undergoing its third renovation since the 1970's.
The World Community Center is undergoing its third renovation since the center's beginnings in the 1970's. The building, located on North Skinker in St. Louis, is about 100-feet from University City's boundaries. It was purchased by World Community Center Association in 1974 to house non-profits with a social justice or peace mission. More than 20 people work in the center which provides affordable working space and also serves as an ideas laboratory for local activists.
