February 1 is national Go Red for Women Day.
Statistics for women and heart disease aren't pretty. Did you know: University City's Centennial Commons wants to be a part of the solution. On Friday, Feb. 1, ladies and gentlemen are asked to wear red for the 10th Annual National Go Red for Women Day to stand with women in the fight against their number one killer: heart disease. By “going red” women and men join together to support swifter action for women’s health, increased funding and more research. Come to Centennial Commons decked out in your red between 7-11 a.m. and 4--8 p.m. for information on heart disease awareness, blood pressure/heart rate checks, healthy red snacks and more. For more information, contact Fitness Supervisor Jumoke McDonald at 314.505.8628.
