Fox 2: Metrolink Strikes Car Near Delmar Station

The accident happened around 1:15 Tuesday morning.

A car was struck and two people injured on the Metrolink tracks near the Delmar Station early Tuesday morning. Fox 2 KTVI reports that the accident happened around 1:15 a.m. A car apparently crashed through a fence and ended up on the tracks. Authorities say for some reason the red Pontiac first drove through a private lot then crashed through the fence near Rosedale and Skinker. A short time later, a Metrolink train t-boned the car on the passenger’s side. A man and woman in their early 20s were in the car. They were both taken to an area hospital where they are in serious but stable condition.  For more information, see Fox 2's full report.

I very much like reading the U-City Patch as it keeps me informed about things relevant to my former community and beyond - I now live just across the county line in St. Louis City. I am glad the two people in the car survived the accident but I don't care for sensational reporting of the Fox 'News' kind. It is so not relevant. Christiane Carlsson   more ›
