Restaurant Roundup: El Paisano, Chubbies Open
Two new eateries are open in the Delmar Loop.
Two new restaurants have opened in the Delmar Loop. Chubbies opened Feb. 7 at 6227 Delmar Boulevard. The specialties of the house are burgers, wings and frozen custard. The menu also includes cheesesteaks, soft drinks and beer. The Riverfront Times noted in its review that Chubbies is part of a what has become a very busy block: It is located immediately next-door to the former Delmar Lounge, which will soon become Mission Taco Joint. El Paisano Now Open El Paisano Mexican Bar & Grill, part of the local chain of Mexican restaurants, opened a new location at 5916 Delmar Boulevard. El Paisano resides in the former Twisted Olive.
