Chanukah: Festival Of Lights

Celebrate the Festival of Lights at the Botanical Garden

The event will be held from noon to 4 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 9.

Enjoy storytelling, music, dance and a ceremonial menorah-lighting during “Chanukah: Festival of Lights” at the Missouri Botanical Garden. The event is included with Garden admission. The event begins with the lighting of the first candle on the menorah. Choirs from the Reform Jewish Academy School will perform traditional Jewish and Chanukah music. The female quartet Shir Ami (Song of My People) will entertain crowds as will the group HaShemesh (The Sun) who will sing and play contemporary Israeli folk music. Visitors can browse a traditional “shuk” (marketplace), with merchandise from The Silver Lady, B’nai El Congregation Gift Shop and Unique Treasures of the United Hebrew Congregation, or stop by the Garden Gate Shop for Chanukah-…
