Some Areas Off Limits As Jackson Park Starts Building New Addition
Construction begins on new addition at Jackson Park Elementary School.
Parents and students at Jackson Park Elementary will have to make some adjustments as construction begins on a new addition to the school. In a letter to parents, Associate Principal Christine Powers said the back of the building will be fenced off to keep the students safe from the construction area, which will house trucks and other pieces of equipment. The fenced area will only be accessible to construction workers. Powers said for the remainder of the school year, much of the blacktop will be off limits. She also said the back doors will not be used for the remainder of the school year. This includes the "Boys" and "Girls" doors as well as the gymnasium doors.
