KMOV is reporting that University City Police were investigating a bank robbery in University City around 4:45 p.m. The robber handed a teller a note demanding large bills if they did not want to get hurt, KMOV reports. St. Louis Metropolitan Police have arrested a man in-connection with a bank robbery Tuesday morning at St. Louis Community Credit Union at 7350 Olive Blvd, in University City. University City Police Captain Michael Ransom said St. Louis Police officers stopped a suspect who was taken into custody at Kingshighway and Farlin, and money was recovered. University City Detectives are conducting the follow up investigation. U City police identified the suspect as 39-year-old Kenneth Cowper of St. Louis City. University City Police said Cowper reportedly fled the bank after giving a note indicating a robbery to a teller. A dye pack was taken during the robbery and detonated successfully with red dye.
