Each week, University City Patch features a look at reports from the University City Police Department. Here is a look at the blotter from the week of April 1-7, 2013. The department arrested 50 adults and three juveniles. There was one burglary, two attempted burglaries and two car thefts.  The reporting party stated person(s) unknown stole vehicle that had been parked in the driveway. The vehicle was recovered in St. Louis City the same day. Officer observed a running vehicle in an alley. The vehicle's door was pried and the ignition was punched. Police Investigating Robbery, Auto Theft in the Loop

The Washington University Police Department is reporting a robbery and auto theft that occurred late last night in the Delmar Loop. According to the Washington University Police, the robbery occurred around 12:15 a.m. in the 600 block of Leland (near Leland and Delmar). The Wash U crime alert reports the following: Police in University City are investigating a robbery and auto theft that occurred about 12:15am on Thursday. The victim reported that he was approached by two subjects as he exited his car in the 600 block of Leland. The subjects requested assistance in starting a vehicle. One suspect then displayed a handgun and the other displayed a knife. They took the victim’s car keys and then left with his vehicle. The victim was not …

The department arrested 65 adults and one juvenile. There was one robbery, one burglary, and two auto thefts. The victim stated a 5’11”-6’0” dark complexed black male, wearing a dark hoodie and shoes (unknown color) with red shoe laces, pushed her and stole her purse. Person(s) unknown stole the victim's scooter, which was parked in the alley. Person(s) unknown stole the victim's vehicle. The vehicle is described as a 1985 blue/white Chevrolet Blazer.

The department arrested 63 adults and two juveniles. There was one robbery, two assaults, one auto theft and one attempted auto theft.  Victim injured during an altercation with a group of subjects. Two suspects were arrested for assault and one suspect being sought. Person(s) unknown gained entry into the victim's unsecured vehicle by damaging a door lock. The department arrested 51 adults and six juveniles.  There were two auto thefts and three burglaries. An employee of Ashley Stewart exited the store with a deposit bag when a black male in his late 30s, approached and demanded belongings.
