Earlier this week, I had the best gazpacho I have ever eaten. It was a perfect blend of herbs and veggies, with a hint of sweetness to balance out the tomatoes. I normally am not a fan of most tomato-based soups, because they are too acidic for me, but I could have made an entire meal of this soup.
Along with it, I had the arugula and melon salad. Again, a perfect balance of sweetness (the melons) and tartness (the arugula). The dressing was superb.
I would pay good money for both of these recipes. Hint to Winslow's--thinking of publishing a cookbook any time soon?

Winslow's Home has a fantastic, low-key brunch menu perfect for recovering from your weekend. The rolled omelet was a tantilizing combination of earthy kale, rich, salty bacon, and creamy, indulgent gouda. Also, the key lime sugar cookie was a good balance of sweet and tart butteriness.
Eating lunch at Winslow's home is like eating in your eccentric aunt's attic - without the dust. While waiting for your food, you can browse an eclectic selection of items - ranging the gamut from useful household gadgets to hand-printed cards, kites to locally-grown produce.
This is one place that never gets old. I could eat there every single day and never tire of it. One of the reasons for that is the fact that all of the food is made right on the spot, by hand. The chicken pot pie is a revelation. However, it is different every time you bite into it, because someone made it with the ingredients they had to hand, so it changes slightly with the seasons.
The turkey burger is also top-notch. I'm pretty sure they grind it in house, and top the burger with slaw. It is verrrry good.
And finally, order the pie. Every time.

I absolutely love the brisket sandwich at Winslows. Every time I go in, I vow to try something else, but almost always end up with the brisket. The sweet smoky taste combined with brie and a horseradish sauce are a true delight to the palette. They normally serve it on rye, but I like it on ciabatta bread. For breakfast, their blueberry pancakes are melt in your mouth perfect.
