U City Native Gives Missouri New State Park

Don Robinson, who passed away this week, left 843 acres of land to the state of Missouri for a new park.

A University City native left a gift to the state of Missouri that impacts generations to come.

Don Robinson passed away Monday, March 19, at the age of 84 in Pacific, MO. He left the Missouri State Parks a parcel of 843 acres for a new park.

According to the St. Louis Post-Dispatch, the Don Robinson Park is larger than New York's Central Park. It is southwest of Pacific in Jefferson County.

Robinson graduated from and made his money in marketing.

Robinson's gift was planned for years. The state parks' web site has a page devoted to Robinson.
