Patriots Day: Saying Thank You to First Responders on 9/11

On the 12th anniversary of Sept. 11, 2001, what are you doing to honor your local first responders?

In August, the STL Crane Project honored the fallen heroes from the St. Louis community with 1,000 papers cranes on Art Hill. The Gateway Men's Chorus performed at the ceremony.

The anniversary of the terrorist attacks on the World Trade Center is now known as Patriots Day. It is national day of service, set aside to give back to your community.

Check out different ways to help out in your community in honor of the anniversary of 9/11. If you don't see something here that fits your schedule, check out serve.gov to find more opportunities.
