Public Art Workshop for Ackert Walkway:

Lend your voice and ideas to create a new vision for Ackert Walkway between Delmar and Vernon in University City. Provide critique and feedback to six multidisciplinary teams presenting their design concepts.

This public art workshop is part of a graduate course at the Sam Fox School of Design and Visual Arts at Washington University in St. Louis entitled: Public Space and City Life — Ackert Walkway Case Study.

The workshop is one component of a larger planning effort funded in part by the City of University City, the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development, U.S. Department of Transportation, the Parkview Gardens Association, the Great Rivers Greenway District and Washington University in St. Louis.

Ackert Walkway is an important connector in the Parkview Gardens neighborhood of University City which runs from Delmar to Vernon.  We are seeking a wide variety of input from Parkview Garden neighborhood and University City residents, business
and property owners, students and the local arts community in the
design for the future for Ackert Walkway.

Parking is available on the street and in the University City municipal parking lots. Residents of Parkview Gardens are encouraged to walk.
