Washington University Receives Major Financial Gift

Enterprise Holdings, the parent company of Enterprise Rent-A-Car, National Car Rental and Alamo Rent A Car has given Wash U $25 million on behalf of the company.

Jack Taylor, founder of Enterprise Holdings, the parent company of Enterprise Rent-A-Car, National Car Rental and Alamo Rent A Car, has given Washington University $25 million for undergraduate scholarships on behalf of the company, Chancellor Mark Wrighton announced.
According to a press release sent out by the university, the financial gift will be added to an existing endowed scholarship fund that was established by Enterprise Holdings in 2001.
The school said the gift gives a big boost to a fundraising initiative called “Opening Doors to the Future: The Scholarship Initiative for Washington University.” The goal is to raise $150 million for scholarships by 2014.
