Wash U Ranks 14 on List of Best Colleges

Washington University ranked 14 on U.S. News & World Report's 2012 rankings of Best Colleges.

The list ranks 1,600 schools. Princeton tied Harvard as the top-ranked National University.

Last year, Wash U tied for 13th place. University officials told Wash U's student newspaper, they are not worried about the drop.

"Past experience shows that these minor fluctuations in rankings have little impact on the university’s admissions efforts and the number of applications we receive, a number which has continued to rise significantly over the past decade,” the statement read.
