Students Hold Readathon in the Loop

University City High School students are taking part in a reading fundraiser at Subterranean Books this weekend.

students have kicked off a 24 hour read-in at in the Loop.

However, there is one small catch to the readathon. The students get to go home for the night. Friday's portion got under way at 3pm and will go on until 10pm. The students will return to the bookstore Saturday at 11am and read until 3pm.

The event is a fund-raiser for next year’s Freshman Class Read project. Subterranean will donate 10% of that 24 hour period's sales to the Freshman Class Read project.
