University City Day at the Ball Park

School Board Member Ellen Bern is calling on University City residents to attend U City Day at the ballpark.

Dust off your Cardinal reds and join the U. City school community cheer the Cardinals on Sunday, April 3, at 1:15 pm, as they play the San Diego Padres.

Over 700 students, families, teachers and community members will be attending this opening weekend event, and we still have some tickets left to sell.

Special bargain tickets of only $18, which normally sell for $34, include a free hot dog and soda coupon.  Because it is opening weekend, there is free ice cream for everyone being served outside the stadium before the game.  All attending children 15 and younger will get a free Ice Mountain Cardinals shirt, a free April or May Cardinals ticket, and an opportunity to run the bases after the game.

Sixth grade students from all of the U. City elementary schools will be on the field mid-game to sing "Take Me Out To The Ball Game."  This event is a fun way for our entire school community to share a family event together.  A portion of all ticket sales benefits all of the school PTOs

Tickets are still for sale for this opening weekend game.  The public is welcome to purchase tickets at the McNair Administration building at 8136 Groby Road from 8 am - 4:30 pm through March 24.  For more information contact Ellen Bern at ellenbern@yahoo.comor 721-1841.
