U City Schools to host MoCHIP This Saturday

The child identification program provides free information to parents.

The School District of University City will host the Missouri Child Identification and Protection Program (MoCHIP) from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 3 in the Brittany Woods Middle School library, located at 8125 Groby Road in University City.

MoCHIP is sponsored by the Masonic Children’s Foundation and provides free child identification badges and a CD that includes personal information data, fingerprints, DNA and dental impressions. Height charts and scales at the event facilitate the most current details regarding the child. Children are asked to not eat immediately prior to and during processing to allow for a clean DNA swab.

To help save time, parents and guardians are encouraged to complete MoCHIP's 2-Page form and bring it to the Nov. 3 event.
