School District Offers Free Breakfast, Lunch to U City Children

Area children can get breakfast and lunch until July 12.

The School District of University City is offering free breakfast and lunch to community children during the summer.

Children 18 and under who live within District boundaries have an opportunity to enjoy free meals during the District’s Summer Learning Academy.

“It makes sense for us to continue to nurture children and provide compassionate care for both their minds and bodies during the summer. Children living within our boundaries, even those not enrolled in the Summer Learning Academy, should not go hungry,” said Joylynn Pruitt, superintendent of schools, in a release. “It is our privilege to do our part to support our future leaders.”
