Returning Artists Sing Art Education's Praises

The 2012 Returning Artists week ended Friday.

At a reception Thursday night at , the 2012 returning artists Sallie DuMaine and Darwin Harris performed with students.

The song, one of many the theater and music students learned, was written by DuMaine.

"To hear a song I wrote sung with such exuberance — it's like the sun coming out of heaven," DuMaine said.

DuMaine and Harris, both U City High graduates, spoke of the power of the arts in their scholastic life.

This article does not say who all the people in the picture are, nor does it say what the accomplishments of the returning artists are, nor is it clear that all those in the picture are returning artists. It would also be interesting to learn what the artists did at the school during their return.
