Muffins With Mom at Jackson Park

The Jackson Park PTO hosted it's annual Muffins with Mom on Thursday.

The scene at on Thursday was one of moms, muffins, coffee and lots of conversation.

The Jackson Park PTO along with PTO President Joycelyn Barnes and dozens of parent volunteers, hosted the annual Muffins with Mom event - a chance for students to engage with their moms and moms with fellow moms and teachers.

The tables were decorated with pink tablecloths. The spread included fruit baskets, and muffins galore. The seats were filled with mothers and their children. You could see the happiness in the eyes of the youngsters as they interacted with their mothers and their friends' mothers while enjoying chocolate and blueberry muffins.  Coffee and juice flowed freely while parents got to know each other - put faces with names, and mingle with their children's school friends.

New JP principal Jackson Park Elliot Shostack was also on hand for the event, meeting and greeting families.
