“Our partnership with the police department worked so well last year, it made sense to combine the celebrations again,” said Joylynn Pruitt , superintendent of schools, in a press release. “By joining forces, we’re able to leverage the community’s time, so they can enjoy the fun activities, giveaways and helpful information concentrated into one event,” she said.

“We’re looking forward to another great year,” said Chief of Police Charles Adams. “I’m pleased we’re able to come together in this way again, and we’re once again calling for volunteers.”

Volunteers, sponsors and organizations interested in setting up booths are needed. The volunteer and booth registration deadline is Wednesday, July 17.
