School and Community Fair at Brittany Woods Middle School

The U City School District will host a School and Community Fair at Brittany Woods Middle School (8125 Groby Road) on April 29 from 6 to 9 p.m.

The event provides community members, parents, students and staff with the opportunity to learn more about the Community School Initiative, explore resources available in the area, provide feedback on desired services and programs, and discover ways to get involved.

The School and Community Fair will also highlight the partnerships the school has with organizations in the community and the variety of student clubs and other resources available.

The Community School Initiative is just the beginning of a long-term plan to transition Brittany Woods to a community school model that seeks to establish more resources for academics, community education, and health awareness through the school.

“The Community School Initiative is a strategic plan for Brittany Woods Middle School,” says Dr. Jamie Jordan, principal at Brittany Woods.  “We aim to meet the educational needs of the whole child as well as provide support and resources to families in the community.”
