Reproductive rights have been a recent hot-button political issue. As the national debate heats up, a forum on reproductive rights at the University of Missouri–St. Louis will explore the issue, why the rights are important and why these issues are in the news now.
The event will begin at 7 p.m. April 2 in the auditorium at the J.C. Penney Building/Conference Center. It is free and open to the public.
The forum will feature a panel discussion followed by a question-and-answer session.

Panelists will include:
• Pamela Sumners, executive director of NARAL Pro-Choice Missouri
• Rev. Rebecca Turner, executive director of Faith Aloud
• Susan Kendig, associate teaching professor of nursing at UMSL
• Angie Postal, lead organizer at Planned Parenthood of the St. Louis Region
• David Robertson, Curators’ Teaching Professor of Political Science at UMSL
• Karen Aroesty, director of the Anti-Defamation League of Missouri and Southern Illinois
• Grant Doty, staff attorney for the American Civil Liberties Union of Eastern Missouri

Sally Barr Ebest, director of the Gender Studies at UMSL, will serve as the moderator.
