Lecture & Discussion by Frank Schaeffer: Theocracy or Democracy?

Are you tired of religion masquerading as politics & politics as religion? Frank Schaeffer is!  Frank is an author, film director, screenwriter, public speaker, and frequent guest on MSNBC's The Rachel Maddow Show and contributing writer for the Huffington Post.  He is the son of the late famous St. Louis evangelical leaders, Francis and Edith Schaeffer, whose work has had a lasting impact on the Christian right and conservative politics.  Frank Schaeffer describes himself as a "former religious right-wing agitator, now progressive writer."

Frank will be speaking on the impact of far right religion on politics and his journey from being an Evangelical leader to becoming a spokesperson for progressive politics and religion.

If you care about America you CAN'T miss the conversation that will change the national political debate for the better and expose the politics of fear-based religion infiltrating every aspect of American Life today.

It's time to bring dignity and respect back to the conversation and hear from a voice of reason this election season. For anyone wanting to get into the minds of both the left and the right, Frank Schaeffer will be thought provoking and is sure to provide fodder for an exciting pre-election conversation. After the talk, there will be refreshments and a discussion entitled " Is There a Way to Collaborate for the Common Good?"

Cost: $15/ $12 (seniors)
