Delmar-Harvard Students Create Lasting Mementos

A group of students from tried their hands at sidewalk art on Tuesday morning. That is, they were working on an art project on the sidewalk in front of in The Loop.

The fifth and sixth-graders were taking part in a project called  “I Can Achieve!” Each student learned to carve a cuttlebone mold and observe the casting process.  On Tuesday morning, the group visited Craft Alliance to complete their castings. The completed projects took the form of “patinated” brass medallions.  

The medallions were placed on chains and made into necklaces for the students.
