to host a 
Back‐to‐School 
Rally 
and 
National 
Night 
Out
 celebration.

event
 will 
be 
held

 8:30
 p.m.
 
Tuesday, 
Aug.

on 
the 
campus
 of

University 
City 

students, 
parents
 and
 community 
members 
are 
welcome 
to 
join this
 free
 community‐wide 
event.

the Back‐to‐School 

Rally

effort 
to 
raise 
excitement
 about 
the
 importance 
of education

boost 
student 

attendance
 on
 the first 
day 
of 
school, 
which 
is Wednesday,
 Aug.
22.

The
 rally
 incorporates 
free
 hair cuts, 
, enrollment 

information,
 fun/educational
 activities 
and 
information
 about community 
organizations.

The 
annual 
National 
Night 
Out 
is 
designed
 to
 heighten 
crime 
and 
drug prevention 
awareness,
 
promote
 neighborhood
 spirit 
and 
fortify 
community partnerships.

The
 night 
out 
offers 
police
 and
 fire
 department
 displays, 
singers,
 dancers,
 a
 disc
 jockey, 
face 

painting,
 a 
petting 
zoo,
 free 
food
 and
 drinks, 
and information 
about 
family
 safety.
