A look at how candidates for city council in University City are spending their money.

Nothing comes for free and that includes running for office.

In addition to raising money, candidates from school board to president of the United States are required to file campaign finance reports.

Candidates for city council, like those running in the April 3 University City municipal election, are required to file reports with the Saint Louis County Elections Board and Missouri Ethics Commission.
