Traffic levels on both the interstate and the detour routes are expected to be high; during the last closure in May, delays ranged from 10 to 15 minutes while crews had lanes closed.

This work is all part of a $2.1 million dollar project to replace the aged Delmar Boulevard Bridge. The new bridge is expected to be completed by September 1, 2011.
