U City Attorney Nominated to Missouri Supreme Court

Governor Jay Nixon has 60 days to fill the Supreme Court vacancy.

University City attorney Joe Jacobson has been nominated to fill a vacancy on the Missouri Supreme Court, according to a news release.

Jacobson is a partner in the St. Louis law firm of Green Jacobson PC. He lives in University City. 

Jacobson is one of three finalists under consideration. The other two nominees are Michael Manners, a circuit judge in Jackson County and George Draper III, a judge on the Missouri Court of Appeals, Eastern District.

Governor Jay Nixon has 60 days to select one  of the men to fill the vacancy, left by the retirement of Judge Michael A. Wolff. He left the bench to teach full-time at Saint Louis University School of Law.
