State Senator Chappelle-Nadal to Attend White House Event

State Senator Maria Chappelle-Nadal is expected to meet with President Barack Obama during an event at the White House on Friday.

A prestigious invitation has been extended to State Senator Maria Chappelle-Nadal.

The Democrat from University City has been invited to attend a policy briefing and reception at the White House on Friday.

“I am deeply honored to be invited to participate in this event and hope to return with innovative ideas to implement in Missouri,” said Chappelle-Nadal.

The White House event is for the Young Elected Officials (YEO) Network. The group's mission is to unite and support progressive elected leaders, according to a press release. 

Chappelle-Nadal will take part in a policy briefing by senior White House and Obama Administration officials on topics such as housing, immigration reform, energy and the economy. The briefing will be followed by a reception hosted by President Barack Obama.
