State Sen. Chappelle-Nadal Attends White House Reception

State Senator Maria Chappelle-Nadal attended a reception at the White House last week as part of an event for the Young Elected Officials Network.

State Senator Maria Chappelle-Nadal had a productive visit to the White House last week.

The Democrat from University City attended a policy briefing and reception at the White House last Friday. The event was for the Young Elected Officials Network (YEO). The group's mission is to unite and support progressive elected leaders.

Senator Chappelle-Nadal was able to listen to President Obama and speak with several of his top policy advisors, according to a press release.

“The president and his staff are extremely focused on solving a wide variety of problems that face our country, this includes many state and local issues,” said Sen. Chappelle-Nadal.  “We discussed the economy, foreign trade, and how the federal government should live within its means."

Senator Chappelle-Nadal said she got a lot out of her visit to the White House.
