Patch Will Have Your Election Day Covered

Here's a look at our plans for the day, and how we want you to get involved in University City.

Are you heading to the polls to cast your vote in Tuesday's election?

There is a lot a stake. In addition to electing our president for the next four years, St. Louis County voters are also picking a U.S. senator. At the state level, voters will pick a governor, lieutenant governor, secretary of state, attorney general, state treasurer, along with state senators, representatives and judges.

For a big picture look at it all, check out our Patch Election Guide.

Need to find your polling place? We have that too.

So what will we be doing? We'll be visiting area polling places, talking to voters about what was important to them and to see if there's anything amiss at the polls. Here in University City and other Patch sites in St. Louis, editors will be meeting up with many of the candidates on the ballot to get their last-minute impressions of things.

But most importantly: we'll want to hear from you. What were lines like at your polling place. What number were you in line? What kind of activity was there outside? What was important in determining your vote. Does your family have a fun election day ritual, or a unique story of a first-time or long-time voter? Tell me: Maggie.Rotermund@patch.com

In the evening, we'll be at various campaign watch parties as the results come in and the reaction flows in. Check back with University City Patch for constant updates as they become available.

You'll have plenty of opportunities to comment on Patch stories. You can load your election day photo in our Pics & Clips Gallery. Tweet us a photo or thoughts @UniCityPatch or comment on our Facebook page. You can also follow us on Instagram, at UniCityPatch.

You may be just as excited to see this whole process finally come to an end as you are interested in who wins. Either way, we hope Patch is the place where you come to experience it all.

Congratulations for the GRG, including all hardworking employees, Board members-volunteers and theRead More taxpayers who had the foresight to create such a worthwhile taxing district. This group, with extensive collaboration between governmental agencies, private landowners and citizens, creates interconntected trails throughout our region!
